COLDSPRING, Texas (KTRK) -- A San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office deputy has been relieved of duty after being indicted on a charge of harassment, the Trinity County Sheriff's Office said.
Nathan Deweese has been charged with a third-degree felony charge of harassment, according to the TCSO.
Investigators said that Deweese made repeated, unwanted telephone calls to a Trinity County resident over several months.
The SCJSO said that an indictment against Deweese alleges that he engaged in a course of conduct directed toward an individual between August and November 2025.
After initiating an administrative review earlier this year, the sheriff's office said that the deputy was placed on administrative leave and reassigned to a reduced bank due to policy violations.
Deweese is no longer in jail after being booked into the Trinity County Jail on Friday.
